On Saturday 23rd May, our Scouts will be undertaking a sponsored hike to raise money for summer camp.
The challenge is a 20KM hike from Clent Hills (Nimmings Wood Car Park) along the North Worcestershire Path. We'll hike towards Waseley Hills and round the rabbit trail before looping back to Clent to complete the 20KM.
There will be a break at Waseley Hills cafe. Scouts can either bring a packed lunch or a little money for the cafe.
I'll circulate a map and sponsorship forms this week.
All scouts should carry a copy of the map, waterproof clothing incase of poor weather, a minimum of 500ML of water / squash, some snacks and basic first aid kit. The route is hilly and in places can be a little muddy / boggy. All scouts should wear sturdy boots for the hike, trainers may be uncomfortable on some parts of the path, especially if we have had rain on the run up to, or during the day.
Exact times will also be confirmed this week. Some scouts have mentioned that they have football training on a Saturday, we'll accommodate this is at all possible.
Our Scouts will be visiting Stourbridge Fire Station Wednesday May 13th. Can all Scouts arrive in uniform at 19:00. Our meeting will close at the fire station at 20:15.

To all Scouts - Don't forget next meeting we are going to complete a Sports Enthusiasts badge. In order to obtain your badge, you need to choose your sport and complete the following tasks:
- Explain the rules governing your favourite sport.
- Describe the levels of achievement within your chosen sport locally, nationally or internationally.
- Show that you know some of the personalities, champions or other experts in your chosen sport. Explain how they might have inspired you.
- Talk about the equipment needed for the sport.
- Describe a recent major event, championship or landmark in the sport.
- Explain how you follow your sport. How do you keep up to date with developments?
Some of you mentioned having more than 1 sport that you were particularly interested in. There's no reason why you can't do this badge more than once.
